Job Summary: Emergency Medicine Consultant
Join this dynamic team as an ER Consultant, where you will lead the emergency department in delivering world-class care for acute medical and trauma cases. This pivotal role involves overseeing patient care, mentoring junior staff, and driving continuous clinical improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the emergency department, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient operations.
- Diagnose and treat diverse acute medical conditions and trauma cases in an emergency setting.
- Perform life-saving procedures and interventions when required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to hospital protocols.
- Contribute to medical audits, quality assurance, and staff training programs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required:
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), American Board, or Canadian Board certification in Emergency Medicine (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-CCT or board certification experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in emergency medical care and trauma management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to excel under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are advantageous).
- Preferred:
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Fellowship or additional specialization in Emergency Medicine.
- Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department.
